Designer Jeffrey Monteiro told WWD that the “crisp lines, the contrast of matte and shine, and the effect of color the way it captures and reflects light” of Anette Harboe Flensburg’s paintings as the motivation behind this collection. Notice how the dark grey gloss of the jacket and the matte royal blue of the skirt mirror that of the sphere-shaped light fixtures and the floor in Flensberg’s 2006 piece “House of Past and Future IV.”
